I'm glad that Steve Nash & the Phoenix Suns won again. This time against the New Orleans Hornets 120 - 103 in the compacted 2011 - 2012 NBA Season
I'm glad that Steve Nash reached a new milestone - being the Sun's franchise most prolific passer. He now holds the record of 6, 522 assists and counting as a Phoenix Suns. His career assist total is 9, 441. He stands to surpass Oscar Robertson who only has 46 more assists as 4th assists leader all time in the NBA.

Finally, I get to read something good about Steve Nash and my Phoenix Suns. They won over the New York Knicks that has Carmelo Anthony (although not 100%), former Sun, Amar'e Stoudemire and newly acquired Tyson Chandler.
The conspiracy theorist in me says this was a gimme win because of Phoenix former ties to now Knicks Coach Mike d'Antoni. But the Knicks themselves are in dire need of wins after their underperforming start for the season. That ridiculous thought is quickly dispelled.
Understandably, the Suns haven't been talked about this NBA 2011-2012 season because of a weak roster. But I am glad that they are still battling out there, ably lead by the unaging Nash.
If they could just squeeze in as the 8th seed on a highly competitive Western Conference, that would be an early Christmas sports present for me.
The Phoenix Suns defeated the Houston Rockets 123 - 116 in Houston bolstered by the return of its star and leader, Steve Nash, into action.
Steve Nash did not played in the last two games because of a groin injury. His return is timely as he helped the Phoenix Suns stop its 3 game losing skid. He scored 24 points and dished out 9 assist.
My Phoenix Suns is now again at .500 winning percentage (7-7) which in the ultra-competitive western conference hardly gets you into the postseason.

* I hope the front office of the Phoenix Suns make a strong move unto signing serviceable big man Erick Dampier away from Miami to at least have a decent inside presence.
* Phoenix Suns arch-nemesis San Antonio Spurs is looking like a serious contender for another title with its 10th straight win over another contender the Orlando Magic.
Not given much consideration at the start of the season, the surprising Suns are now scheduled to face the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals in the ongoing 2010 NBA Playoffs.

Even Coach Phil Jackson of the Lakers is now taking notice of the Suns that he virtually started the scheduled series against Suns by calling Phoenix' Steve Nash ball-handling as palming.
Palming the basketball isn't allowed in the NBA. Coach Jackson practically says that Nash is getting away with this violation as he orchestrate the Suns offense.
The Lakers without a doubt is the overwhelming favorite in this series. The Suns' fast-tempo offense often facilitated by Nash is one of the few weapons the Suns have.
By undermining Nash' way of dribbling the ball, Coach Jackson obviously want to distract Nash's mental preparation and also call the attention of the referees to take a closer look. The Zenmaster is still at the top of his game including psywar. This is the same thing he did on Oklahoma Thunder's Kevin Durant.
Steve Nash articulately responded by calling Coach Poppovic the best coach in the league instead of Jackson who has more championships.
I hope this work on my Suns favor. After all these unfortunate playoff endings, I hope the basketball gods, if there are any, would punish the Lakers and make all the referees call palming more against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. LOL!!!
Seriously, I see the Lakers advancing to the next round even without Andrew Bynum. All I wish to see are competitive exciting games and not the massacre imposed by the Orlando Magic to the Atlanta Hawks. If the Suns schedule continues up to the NBA finals, I wouldn't mind taking it as my early christmas gift.
I just caught the latter part of Hardball's replay of their June 12 show where in they featured Steve Nash as the 2009 NBA Finals correspondent for the David Letterman Show. Gosh, I have been missing a lot.
I am a big fan of Steve Nash and still feels bad about him and my phoenix suns not making the playoffs this season. And I am blaming Steve Kerr for that!
Nash, still being part of the NBA Finals, is some consolation for us fans. I just hopes he gets at least one championship ring before he hangs up his jersey.
